In a device for feeding two separate gaseous streams to the combustion chamber of a sparkignition I. C. engine, the second stream passes via passages 2, 3 in the inlet valve 1, communication through orifice 8 between passage 9 and passage 2 being interrupted when the valve is closed. Air or weak mixture is drawn through duct 11 and rich mixture supplied through passage 2, 3 is directed towards spark plug 4. The valve stem is prevented from rotating by stud 7 which co-operates with flat 6. Alternatively a pin in the valve stem co-operates with a valve guide groove. Passage 3 may have an opening in its side wall or may be a trough directed towards duct 11 to provide for dilution of the rich mixture. |
