<p>The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for consistently maintaining and controlling hue characteristics of images photographed by left and right cameras, capable of making an optimum stereoscopic effect by calculating and correcting a hue deviation of left and right images which causes visual stereoscopic fatigue to match image characteristics of the left and right cameras through hue characteristic analysis of the images photographed using arbitrary stereoscopic cameras. Although there is a relative deviation between left and right cameras, considering that the cameras consequently have the same hue characteristics if the hue characteristics are consistent between the cameras, provided is the method for matching the hue characteristics of the arbitrary camera with the hue characteristics of the other camera. For correction, the method includes the steps of: making left and right hue histograms for a hue corresponding H after conversion in a hue expression manner of an HSV standard; measuring a deviation corresponding to a location where there is a minimum absolute accumulation error while moving the right hue histogram to identify whether the histograms are consistent to each other; and reflecting the deviation as a negative value to offset on all pixels of a right hue image so that the right hue image is close or consistent to the left hue image to have the same left and right hue characteristics.</p> |
