Investment binder and use of the investment binder

Investment binder for forming a binder phase when applied to an investment casting, wherein this binder comprises: I) at least a first compound as a source of magnesium-ions; II) a second compound as a source of phosphate-ions; and III) a third compound being a surface reaction control agent; incorporated in one of the other compounds above, and use of this investment binder.
