PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate printed or coated with an ink which can be used for printing dots with a consistent film weight.SOLUTION: An oxygen detecting dye can emit fluorescence in proportion to oxygen content. A substrate is printed or coated with an ink composition which contains a polymer matrix for the dye. The polymer matrix in the ink or the coating composition includes a unit which has a pendant sulfonic acid group or phosphonic acid group, or a salt or ester of the groups.
