<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organosiloxane-modified novolac resin that is a useful compound having high heat resistance and high strength inherent to a novolak resin as well as having low stress inherent to an organosilicon compound.SOLUTION: The organosiloxane-modified novolac resin has a structural unit of formula (1) below. In the formula, Rrepresents an organosiloxy group having a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms bonded to a silicon atom; and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.</p> |
