An antenna system and a processing method. The antenna system comprises: a first antenna subsystem comprising a first antenna and a first remote radio unit (RRU), the first antenna being connected to the first RRU through a feed line; a second antenna subsystem comprising a second antenna and a second RRU, the second antenna being connected to the second RRU through a feed line; and a baseband processing pool which is respectively connected to the first RRU and the second RRU through a cable, and is used for determining to use the first antenna and/or the second antenna to transmit a signal to a terminal and/or receive a signal transmitted by the terminal according to the quality of the channel between the first antenna and the terminal and the quality of the channel between the second antenna and the terminal. In the antenna system, according to the quality of the channel between a first antenna and a terminal and the quality of the channel between a second antenna and the terminal, the first antenna and/or the second antenna can be flexibly selected to be used to transmit a signal to the terminal and/or receive a signal sent by the terminal, so that the capacity of a communication system can be increased.
