NETWORK PLANNING METHOD AND DEVICE

Disclosed are a network planning method and a device. The method: obtaining network planning service information of multiple cycles, wherein the information comprises each service bandwidth of each cycle; based on pre-configured grouping information, grouping network planning services of the multiple cycles; performing first network traffic grooming planning for each group of network planning services after grouping and combining network planning services remaining after the grooming planning for the each group into another group; based on a preset optimization direction, performing second grooming planning for the remaining network planning services in the another group; and obtaining routing information of a service of the each cycle and information of optical channels (OCHs) in the network planning services of the multiple cycles. Thus the obtained number of the OCHs of the each cycle is more in proportion to the number of services of the each cycle. In a condition that the number of the OCHs is the same, the later a cycle where the OCHs belong is, the lower a cost is required because a price of a device keeps reducing, thus reducing an actual network establishment cost.
