METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING TEA LEAVES

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for manufacturing, by a simple process and in a short time, tea leaves which are rich in the flavor and sweetness inherent in green tea and from which a tea having a deep green color can be extracted. A process for manufacturing tea leaves, comprising: a step for applying hot air at 150 to 500ºC to fresh tea leaves and thereby drying the fresh tea leaves; a step for subjecting the dried tea leaves to crushing and/or pulverizing; and a step for drying the crushed and/or pulverized tea leaves.
