[Problem] To implement an extreme value exclusion averaging circuit, which follows an environment by performing the operation of a shift to an appropriate threshold value without sorting data while excluding extreme values to be excluded from an average, using small-scale logic. [Solution] This image pickup device is provided with an image pickup unit, a correction value output unit, and a subtraction unit, and characterized in that the correction value output unit determines a pixel-by-pixel signal level outputted from a light-blocking pixel region of the image pickup unit by a plurality of threshold values to select pixel signals of signal levels within a predetermined range, averages the selected pixel signals, and outputs, as a correction value signal, a signal obtained by the averaging, and the subtraction unit subtracts the correction value signal from a signal outputted from a light-sensitive region of the image pickup unit. |
