A processor determines that the received electronic mail comprises a classification tag, and in response to the determination parses the classification tag to extract a plurality of classification information. The processor displays the plurality of classification information on the first computer.

a network interface operable to receive an electronic mail; a processor communicatively coupled to the network interface and operable to determine that the received electronic mail comprises a classification tag, and in response to the determination parse the classification tag to extract a plurality of classification information; the network interface further operable to receive a change in the classification information; and the processor further operable to:
create a new classification tag, the new classification tag comprising the changed classification information;append the new classification tag to the received electronic mail;create an outbound electronic mail, the outbound electronic mail associated with the received electronic mail; andappend the new classification tag of the received electronic mail to the outbound electronic mail.
