A fuel-injection system is equipped with a first injection valve (30), a second injection valve (40), a connecting pipe (70), and an ECU (50). The connecting pipe (70) connects a second channel (41b) of the second injection valve (40) and a back-pressure chamber (31c) of the first injection valve (30). The ECU (50) controls an electric actuator for the second injection valve (40) so as to switch between a first injection control and a second injection control according to the requested injection amount. During the first injection control, a second valve body (42) opens for at least a prescribed interval of time, so as to decrease the back pressure (Pm) to a pressure at which the first valve body (32) opens. During the second injection control, the second valve body (42) opens for less than the prescribed interval of time, so as not to decrease the back pressure (Pm) to the pressure at which the first valve body (32) opens. |
