A method for reporting auxiliary information and a device thereof and a communication system. The method comprises: receiving, by a user equipment, first indication information issued by a base station, wherein the first indication information is used for triggering the user equipment to report service information to the base station; and triggering the user equipment to report the service information to the base station according to the first indication information. By means of the method, a user equipment is triggered to report service characteristics, and an auxiliary base station configures a wireless resource control parameter, so that the purposes of reducing signalling overhead, improving the network resource utilization rate and reducing the power consumption of the user equipment are achieved.
