PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope system for ophthalmic surgery that facilities at least one of generating red reflection and limiting stress on a retina of an eye under surgery when high luminance red reflection is generated.SOLUTION: A light source 95 and a collimating lens 96 generates a beam of retroillumination light 43b, and the beam is coupled into a beam path of an object lens 3b by a mirror 41b on the object lens 3b. An actuator is provided, by which the position of the mirror 41b is caused to move between different positions that cross an optical axis 5b of the object lens 3b.
