摘要 Provided is an input device comprising an optical waveguide that prevents core breakage caused by pressing or movement of a tip input section of an input body. This input device comprises a tetragon sheet-shaped optical waveguide (W) having lattice-shaped cores (2) interposed between a tetragon sheet-shaped underclad layer (1) and an overclad layer (3). A dummy pattern (A) is provided in a section of the lattice-shaped cores (2) surrounded by a linear core (2). The dummy pattern (A) is interposed, together with the cores (2), between the sheet-shaped underclad layer (1) and the overclad layer (3). The input device is configured such that, as a result of the elasticity modulus of the dummy pattern (A) and the core (2) being set to at least the elasticity modulus of the underclad layer (1) and the overclad layer (3), core (2) breakage does not occur even if the tip input section of the input body is pressed or the tip input section is moved in a surface section of the overclad layer (3) corresponding to the lattice-shaped core (2) section.
