<p>The present invention relates to the field of fire extinguishing.. Specifically, the present invention relates to a tracer-containing compositions comprising fire extinguishing fluid r and tracer compound(s). Additionally, the present invention relates to a method for detecting tracer compounds to identify fire extinguishing fluids after their leaving the custody of the original manufacturer or prior source, and the verification of authenticity. The aforementioned method provides for the detection of tracer compounds, which in turn, may alert the fire extinguishing industry to when dilution, adulteration, contamination or other unauthorized practices have occurred with fire extinguishing products.</p> |
