<p>The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for displaying information for a mobile terminal which can improve user convenience by easily identifying and classifying received text messages. According to the present invention, the information display apparatus for a mobile terminal comprises: an extraction unit for extracting a representative phrase for identifying a caller from a received text message; and a control unit for generating a caller index through the extracted representative phrase, and displaying the identified caller based on the generated caller index on the mobile terminal. The information display apparatus can further comprise a database for generating caller index information by storing the generated caller index, and transferring a keyword to extract a representative phrase to the extraction unit.</p> |
