A method for manufacturing a flooring/coating with an inlay pattern on a substrate, comprising a) preparing one or more inlays by an additive manufacturing process using a digital fabricator on the substrate, or preparing the inlays on a second, different, substrate and subsequently placing the inlays on the substrate to be provided with the flooring/coating, and bl) applying a curable flooring composition on the portions of the substrate not covered by the inlays to embed the inlays in the composition, and curing the composition, or b2) preparing a flooring with a flooring material on the portions of the substrate not covered by the inlays by an additive manufacturing process using a digital fabricator to embed the inlays in the flooring, or b3) applying a curable coating composition to cover the substrate not covered by the one or more inlays and the inlays by the coating composition, and curing the coating composition. |
