A power control method of a lamp is provided. The method comprises the steps of: starting to supply power to a lamp; selecting illumination characteristic data changing from a point of time when the power starts to be supplied to the lamp; and controlling variably a duty value of a voltage supplied to the lamp according to the illumination characteristic data. The method further includes counting a first elapsed time that elapses from a first point of time when the power supplied to the lamp is turned on, wherein the duty value of the voltage supplied to the lamp may be controlled variably according to the counted first elapsed time. |
