The invention relates to a method for the convection drying of goods, wherein a good to be dried is arranged on a substratum (1) and is exposed to a flow of a gaseous fluid provided for drying, wherein the fluid is incident on an incident-flow profile (2) arranged before the good, in particular before the substratum (1), in a flow direction (A), in particular an incident-flow profile (2) arranged laterally adjacent to the substratum (1), and the fluid flows over the substratum (1), in particular wherein the upper edge of the incident-flow profile (2) is at least substantially flush with the surface of the substratum (1) in the flow direction (A), and the good to be dried is positioned in a region of the substratum (1) that lies after an in particular transitional flow-separation bubble (3b) of the fluid formed over the substratum (1), in the flow direction. The invention further relates to a drying device for the convection drying of goods, comprising a substratum (1), in particular a substratum (1) formed by at least one conveyor belt, on which substratum a good to be dried can be positioned, and means, in particular at least one fan, for producing a flow of a gaseous fluid provided for drying, wherein the means for producing a flow are oriented in order to produce a flow over the substratum (1), wherein a produced flow of the fluid is oriented toward at least one incident-flow profile (2) arranged before the substratum (1) in a flow direction, in particular arranged laterally adjacent to the substratum (1), in order to produce a transitional flow-separation bubble (3b) and a turbulent flow region (3c) of the fluid following the flow-separation bubble (3b) in the flow direction (A). |
