The present invention relates to a shared spectrum occupation method and a device, wherein the method comprises: based on a resource occupation method in which a first communication node will occupy a shared spectrum, the first communication node determining a sending resource of resource reservation information through a preset mapping relationship, wherein the mapping relationship comprises a relationship between at least two types of resource occupation methods and at least two types of sending resources, and the resource reservation information represents the resource occupation method; and the first communication node utilizing the sending resource to send the resource reservation information so that the second communication node parses the sending resource of the resource reservation information and determines the resource occupation method of the first communication node on the shared spectrum through the mapping relationship. Even in a situation where spectrum resources are shared between communication nodes that belong to different wireless communication systems and/or carriers, the present invention can still enable the communication nodes to accurately know occupation situations of each other on shared spectrums.
