<p>Provided is a tapered roller bearing that can secure a load capacity for the bearing and be made smaller and also allow the torque on the bearing to be reduced. A tapered roller bearing comprises an inner ring having a raceway on the outer diameter face, an outer ring having a raceway on the inner diameter face, a plurality of tapered rollers disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring so as to be able to rotate, and a retainer that holds the tapered rollers at prescribed intervals around the circumference. A flange portion projecting radially inward is provided only on the large diameter side of the raceway of the outer ring. The small diameter side and the large diameter side of the raceway of the inner ring is an inclined face that is continuous with the raceway. A small diameter flange portion of the retainer is provided with a circumferential inner flange portion that projects to the inner diameter side and a circumferential outer flange portion that projects to the outer diameter side.</p> |
