PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foil image forming method whereby a foil image excellent in bonding strength of foil can be obtained regardless of the kind of an image support without using a special foil in a method of bonding the foil via a thermal head.SOLUTION: The foil image forming method is characterized in that the foil image is formed by bonding the foil on a foil bonding toner layer by bringing the foil into contact with the foil bonding toner layer heated and fixed on the image support by an electrophotographic method through the use of a toner including a thermoplastic resin and by heating a selected region of the foil by the thermal head. In the foil image forming method, it is preferable that heating by the thermal head is carried out at a toner temperature from (glass transition point (Tg)+90°C) to (glass transition point (Tg)+120°C). |
