<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for electrochemical element with a high capacity and high safety, and to provide an electrochemical element which has the electrode for an electrochemical element and has a high capacity and excellent charge and discharge cycle characteristics and safety. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode for electrochemical element is provided with an electrode mixture layer containing as an active material a lithium-containing compound oxide as represented by general formula: Li<SB>1+x</SB>MO<SB>2</SB>(1) (where, -0.3≤x≤0.3, M is an element group including four elements or more that are Ni, Mn, Mg and at least one kind of elements selected from Nb, Mo, Ga, W and V). The ratio (mol%) of element number a, b and c of Ni, Mn and Mg included in the element group M is made 70≤a≤97, 0.5<b<30, 0.5<c<30, -10<b-c<10, -8≤(b-c)/c≤8, and the average number of valencies of Ni is made 2.5-3.2, the average number of valencies of Mn is made 3.5-4.2, and the average number of valencies of Mg is made 1.8-2.2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
