A spray powder with super ferritic iron-based compound, comprises 0.7 wt.% or less carbon, 0.7 wt.% or less manganese, 0.5 wt.% or less nickel, 1.2 wt.% or less niobium, 0.1 wt.% or less phosphorus, 0.1 wt.% or less sulfur, 0.2 wt.% or less silicon, 20-40 wt.% chromium, 2-6 wt.% molybdenum, 50 wt.% or less alumina/zirconia ceramic component, and remaining iron with no more than 0.4 wt.% other chemical elements as impurities. An independent claim is included for substrate with thermally-sprayed coating of the spray powder.
