The method involves providing hollow cylindrical support sleeve (4) on predetermined portion of protective sheath, such that support sleeve is liberated relative to outer conductor (5). A radial force is applied along circumferential direction on the outer side of the outer conductor, so to obtain cold weld between the support sleeve and the outer conductor.
