<p>A display device includes a display module, an IR receiving module configured to receive a key code, a memory configured to store an identification code, and a controller configured to control the operation of the display device, wherein the controller receives a same key code more than a predetermined time from an external input unit having an identification code which is not registered in the memory in a standby state, and when the received key code is a recognizable type of key code and is a power-on key code, turns on the display device, registers the identification code of the external input unit in the memory, and controls the display device based on an input signal of the external input unit whose identification code is registered.</p> |
