<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical exhaust gas treatment apparatus for efficiently removing HC, CO and NO<SB POS="POST">x</SB>contained in exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas treatment apparatus 1 is installed in an exhaust gas channel 11, which is a channel for exhaust gas G discharged out of an internal combustion engine, to remove at least HC, CO, and NO<SB POS="POST">x</SB>contained in the exhaust gas G. The exhaust gas treatment apparatus 1 has a first catalyst support part 41 carrying a first oxidation catalyst and a second catalyst support part 42 carrying a second oxidation catalyst.
