<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle skid angle estimation device capable of estimating a transverse skid angle of a vehicle body with high accuracy, and to provide a vehicle stability control device. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle skid angle estimation device 4 estimates a transverse skid angle of a vehicle body 2 provided with front wheels 31, 32 and rear wheels 33, 34. The vehicle skid angle estimation device 4 estimates a transverse skid angle of the vehicle body 2 on the basis of: a rudder angle of the front wheels 31, 32; a front wheel lateral force which is a lateral force acting on the front wheels 31, 32; a rear wheel lateral force which is a lateral force acting on the rear wheels 33, 34; a distance between the gravity center of the vehicle body 2 and the front wheels 31, 32; a distance between the gravity center of the vehicle body 2 and the rear wheels 33, 34; a yaw rate of the vehicle body 2; and a vehicle speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
