<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict a use color material amount in image forming by an image forming part with a region smaller than a single image as a unit, and notify the image forming part of a prediction result in the same period as the image forming by the image forming part. <P>SOLUTION: A color material amount calculation part 58, which integrates density values of pixels of image data output from an image processing part 52 for each line and stores the integrated density value as prediction value of use color material amount for each line in an image memory 28, is added to an image processing circuit 22, which reads out the image data from the image memory 28, performs image processing in the image processing part 52 to produce image data to be output to an image forming part, and compresses the image data in an image compression part 54 to restore the compressed data in the image memory 28. The prediction values of the use color material amount for each line in the image memory 28 are read out sequentially from the image memory 28 when outputting the image data to the image forming part, each added to the head of the image data of each line, and output to the image forming part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
