PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink set for inkjet recording which provides a recorded image having high black image density, and to provide an inkjet recording method.SOLUTION: The water-based ink set for inkjet recording comprises: water-based ink (X) for inkjet recording, containing carbon black (A) and a copolymer (B) of (meth)acrylic acid and another copolymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomer; and a polyvalent metal salt solution (Y). In the water-based ink set for inkjet recording, the carbon black (A) has a specific carbon dioxide generation amount, a specific DBP oil-absorbing amount, and a specific BET specific surface area, and the ratio of the copolymer (B) in terms of nonvolatile content to the carbon black (A), [(B)/(A)], is 0.30-0.55. The inkjet recording method comprises ejecting the water-based ink (X) and the solution (Y) onto a medium to be recorded by an inkjet recording system using the water-based ink set to record an image. |
