<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the amusingness of a game by enabling a player to easily recognize the resetting of an ended concealed performance mode. <P>SOLUTION: A character background performance is changed in such a manner that the appearance of a character notice different from an opportunity of the setting of a concealed A-performance mode serves as an opportunity. Additionally, in the restoration of the concealed A-performance mode after the termination of the concealed A-performance mode, the character background performance at the termination of the last concealed A-performance mode is inherited and restored. This enables the player to enjoy a change of the character background performance while maintaining the concealed A-performance mode. The restoration of the concealed A-performance mode brings about the inheritance of the character background performance at the termination of the last concealed A-performance mode, and enables the player to continue to enjoy the change enjoyed in the last concealed A-performance mode.
