<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote common use of an ECU (Electric Control Unit) by sufficiently exhibiting the function as an auxiliary brake regardless of running conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A controller for retarder has an auxiliary brake force calculation unit 71 and a deceleration calculation unit 72 calculating deceleration of one's own vehicle occurred during operation of the retarder, wherein when the deceleration calculated by the auxiliary brake force calculation unit 71 and the deceleration calculation unit 72 is smaller than acquired acceleration information, a predetermined threshold value is variably set corresponding to a change in rotating speed of a heat radiating means (a drum), and when the deceleration calculated by the auxiliary brake force calculation unit 71 and the deceleration calculation unit 72 is larger than the acquired acceleration information, the predetermined threshold value is set to a constant value so as to perform control for reducing generation of electric energy when the temperature of the heat radiating means (the drum) detected by a temperature detecting means exceeds a predetermined threshold value corresponding to the rotating speed of the heat radiating means (the drum) detected by a rotating speed detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
