<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED device capable of lighting other normal LED units even when an open failure occurs in one of LED units. <P>SOLUTION: For the LED device, a plurality of LED units for which one or more LEDs are connected in series are connected in series and the plurality of LED units are lighted by a constant current power supply. Each LED unit includes a non-lighting evading device for evading the non-lighting of the LED units other than the LED unit with an open failure when the open failure occurs in one of the LED units. The non-lighting evading device includes: a current detector for detecting a current flowing to the LED unit; a switch which is turned off when the current detector detects that the current flows to the LED unit, is turned on when the current detector detects that the current does not flow to the LED unit, and is on/off reversible; and a resistor connected to the switch in series. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
