Provided is a discharge lamp. Because a light source assembly is separated from a driver assembly by an isolation unit, damage to the stabilizer of the driver assembly due to high heat from the light source assembly can be prevented. To form the envelope of the light source assembly consisting of first and second envelopes which are combined with each other, the envelope is divided along the division surface of an edge direction. If the division surface is not a maximum edge region of the envelope, the division surface is located in a region which is a little larger than the maximum edge of the light source. Therefore, an assembly process such as the insertion of the light source into the envelope can be greatly improved. |
