<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration which lowers the voltage of a storage element to a safe level by discharging energy of the storage element even when the power supply of a lighting device is interrupted. <P>SOLUTION: The flash light discharge lamp lighting device comprises a storage element, a current control circuit for conducting the power charging the storage element to a discharge lamp, a discharge circuit capable of discharging the voltage of the storage element, and a CPU which controls at least the discharge circuit. The flash light discharge lamp lighting device is configured so that the discharge circuit is brought into operation state or non-operation state by a signal from the CPU, and when the power supply voltage of the CPU is interrupted and there is no signal from the CPU, the discharge circuit is brought into operation state by the residual voltage of the storage element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
