Use of image processing to ascertain three-dimensional deviations of an aircraft from a trajectory towards a target An aircraft is guided to a target predetermined by means of image information by the following steps: i) projecting (PM-B) a predetermined reference model (RM) of the target on the basis of the current direction of view of the aircraft; ii) ascertaining an estimated current aircraft / target relative position from the image information pertaining to a current image (B1) of the target and from the projection information ascertained in the model projection (PM-B); iii) performing texture correlation (T3-TK2) with image information pertaining to a current image and to an earlier image B2 for ascertaining an estimated actual direction of motion or velocity of the aircraft relative to the target; iv) on the basis of these initial values, estimating (Fâ Ges) the current aircraft/ target relative position, or the direction of motion or of an actual velocity vector; v) on the basis of the ascertained aircraft / target relative position and of the ascertained actual velocity vector in a guidance module (LM), generating control commands for actuating the aircraft aerodynamic controls to guide the aircraft to the target object. Feature projection PF-B can be used in parallel with the model projection. |
