摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a temperature difference inside a cell so as to cause an atom to be hardly deposited in a region, through which light is transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic field measuring device comprises: a cell sealing a substance including an atom that rotates a polarization plane of linear polarized light according to a magnetic field upon being excited by light inside thereof so as to transmit the linear polarized light therethrough, with which the substance in a gaseous state is irradiated; a measuring section 5 for measuring a rotational angle of the polarization plane of the linear polarized light having been transmitted through the cell; a first temperature measuring section 8a for measuring temperature of a first region, through which the linear polarized light is transmitted, of the cell; a second temperature measuring section 8b for measuring temperature of a predetermined second region, through which the linear polarized light is not transmitted, of the cell; and a controller 9 for controlling a temperature difference between the first region and the second region such that a temperature of the second region is lower than that of the first region and further that the temperature difference exceeds a predetermined threshold value if a value related to at least one of individual temperatures of the first region and the second region satisfies a predetermined condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
