<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize light distribution characteristics in two directions with a simple structure without using an additional optical member. <P>SOLUTION: A prism group 8 for controlling light distribution of emission light from a light source 3 is formed on the inner face of an optical member 2 functioning as a translucent cover. The prism group 8 is installed at a position around immediately above the light source 3 where light intensity is strong and has both functions of widening the light in an advancing direction and condensing the light in the width direction as to the advancing direction and the width direction mutually crossing each other on the road. Thereby, the light distribution characteristics in two directions of advancing direction and width direction of the road can be optimized with a simple structure of forming the prism group 8 on the inner face of the optical member 2 without adding the other optical member such as a reflector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
