<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast water treatment apparatus which reliably and efficiently performs treatment for making ballast water harmless. <P>SOLUTION: The ballast water treatment apparatus sterilizes water microorganism by irradiating taken water to be treated with ultraviolet light, and stores the treated water in a ballast tank, and includes on a ballast water treatment line 1, a pump 2 to pump and pressure-feed water to be treated, a filter 3, an ultraviolet light irradiation unit 4 to irradiate the pumped water to be treated with ultraviolet light, an ultraviolet light irradiation sensor 5 to detect the illuminance of an ultraviolet light lamp of an ultraviolet light irradiation unit 4, a ballast tank 6 for storing the water treated by being irradiated with the ultraviolet light, and an outboard water discharge means 7, The ballast water treatment apparatus further includes a control means 8 which discharges the water to be treated outboard by the outboard water discharge means 7 until the illuminance of the ultraviolet light lamp detected by the ultraviolet light irradiation sensor 5 reaches the predetermined value while passing the water to be treated, and pours the water into the ballast tank 6 when the illuminance of the ultraviolet light lamp reaches the predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
