<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which gives a covering material having improved flexibility, steam barrier performance at a high temperature and has excellent moldability, and a power transmission cable formed of the resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: The resin composition contains an amorphous alicyclic structure-containing polymer and a thermoplastic elastomer which is the copolymer of ethylene and a≥6Cα-olefin. The weight ratio of the amorphous alicyclic structure-containing polymer and the thermoplastic elastomer is 60/40-90/10.
