In making a capacitor, a semi-conducting manganese dioxide layer is applied to an anodized electrode by coating it with manganese nitrate solution containing hydrogen peroxide and decomposing the manganese nitrate. The capacitor may be a thin film capacitor as described in Specification 1,100,790 and the use of hydrogen peroxide is stated to improve the dissipation factor. The hydrogen peroxide may comprise 0À1 to 10% by weight of the solution of 0À1 to 50% by weight of manganese nitrate in water and methanol. |
