<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for solving the problem of the conventional image forming apparatus in which: when a recording material is separated by a pushup, even a first sheet of the recording material is transported into a fixing device in a state which the front end of the recording material is curled after being separated from a transfer belt. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a first mode in which: a recording material is separated by pushing up a transfer belt 24 by a separation auxiliary roller 41, a push-up state by the separation auxiliary roller 41 is maintained until the front end of the first sheet of the recording material reaches a pre-fixing guide 61, a retreating operation of the separation auxiliary roller 41 from the transfer belt 24 is performed after the front end of the first sheet of the recording material reaches the pre-fixing guide 61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
