<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically-assisted turbocharger that reduces iron loss of an electric motor and prevents a turbo shaft from being applied with an offset load. <P>SOLUTION: The electrically-assisted turbocharger 10 is configured by connecting a turbocharger 11 and an electric motor 12 to each other by a reduction gear mechanism 13. The reduction gear mechanism 13 includes: a turbo-side gear 19 attached to a turbo shaft 16 of the turbocharger 11; an electric-motor-side gear 21 attached to a rotor 20 of the electric motor 12; and two idle gears 22a, 22b provided to face each other across the turbo-side gear 19 and connecting the turbo-side gear 19 with the electric-motor-side gear 21. The backlash amount of the turbo-side gear 19 with respect to the two idle gears 22a, 22b is smaller than that of the electric-motor-side gear 21 with respect to the two idle gears 22a, 22b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
