PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural energy power generation system which, while restraining an increase in construction cost, can supply reactive power and satisfy a condition for connection to a utility grid.SOLUTION: A natural energy power generation system 10 comprises: at least one power generator (wind power generator 1) which generates electric power using natural energy; a transformation apparatus (transformer 2) which changes the voltage of electric power generated by the power generator and supplies the converted electric power to a utility grid 20; a synchronous phase modifier 3 which is drivable by a separate power supply and connected closer to the power generator side than to the transformation apparatus and outputs reactive power; and a control apparatus 4 which is connected to the synchronous phase modifier 3 to control the reactive power output by the synchronous phase modifier 3. The control apparatus 4 controls the reactive power output by the synchronous phase modifier 3 on the basis of one of first information on the utility grid 20 obtained from a grid interconnection point between the utility grid 20 and the transformation apparatus and second information obtained from within the natural energy power generation system 10. |
