[Class 70] Wall-boards, slabs, tiles &c. are formed of flax shives, preferably disintegrated, mineral matter, such as china clay, chalk, slate, asbestine, asbestos, and Portland or other cement and a binding agent consisting of sodium or other alkali silicate, which may be mixed with an alkali silicofluoride. The boards may be reinforced with slotted, grooved or perforated metal or wood, wire netting, textile material or fibres such as bagasse, bamboo, asbestos or slag wool. Sawdust or wood flour may be added.</p> |
