The present invention provides an air battery in which a negative electrode is prevented to drop off within a main body even when an alkaline aqueous solution is used as an electrolyte. The present invention relates to the air battery comprising: a main body portion provided with a positive electrode including a positive electrode catalyst, a negative electrode, an air supply mouth for supplying air to the positive electrode, and a diffusion member having a surface (top surface) for supporting the negative electrode; an electrolyte; and a circulating means (a reservoir portion, a solution sending means, and a pipe arrangement) for circulating the electrolyte to the main body portion. In the air battery, the negative electrode can be continuously refilled into the main body portion from a negative electrode supply mouth, and the electrolyte passes through the inside of the diffusion member and can reach a surface (bottom surface) supported by the diffusion member of the negative electrode. |
