<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of improving amusement, functionality, or an added value due to display, even while two display units overlap one another. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal device 100 comprises: a first unit 10 comprising a first display unit 13; a second unit 20 comprising a second display unit 25; a moving mechanism unit which moves the first unit 10 in a direction of increasing the overlapping area of the first unit 10 with the second display unit 25 and in a direction of decreasing the area; and a CPU 23b which controls the first display unit 13 and the second display unit 25.
