<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil forming method and a coil forming apparatus capable of taking a preliminary coil out of a die without damaging a wire. <P>SOLUTION: A cam mechanism 30 is used to a move a plurality of dies 12 in XY axis direction, to form a preliminary coil 1 in switchback form. The cam mechanism of a cam plate 31 includes a forming cam surface 33 which guides a cam follower 35 when performing 90 degree bending, and a die clearance cam surface 51 provided in such a manner as the width of a groove is gradually widened from the forming cam surface 33 in Z axis direction. After performing 90 degree bending, the cam plate 31 is displaced in Z-axis direction so that the cam groove which engages with the cam follower 35 is changed from the forming cam surface 33 to the die clearance cam surface 51. And then, the die 12 is pressurized in Y-axis direction for moving away from the preliminary coil 1 by an assist cylinder 55, so that the die 12 escapes from the preliminary coil 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
