<p>Provided is an ultrasonic imaging apparatus which has a sub probe to provide an ultrasonic image of high resolution to a region of interest. According to an embodiment of the ultrasonic imaging apparatus, the ultrasonic imaging apparatus may include a main probe which emits an ultrasonic wave to the surface of an object and obtains an main ultrasonic image; a needle guide which is installed to the main probe and is inserted into the object; a sub probe which is inserted into the object along the needle guide and obtains a sub ultrasonic image on the region of interest in the object; an image processing part which synthesizes the main ultrasonic image and the sub ultrasonic image; and a display which displays the synthesized ultrasonic image.</p> |
