<p>Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for detecting an error during a handover. The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for detecting an error during a handover which can improve the handover success rate of an LTE network by determining and processing a physical cell id (PCI) confusion phenomenon or a collision phenomenon which frequently occur when a handover fails in an LTE network. The method for detecting an error when a handover is performed by a source node comprises the following: a message receiving step of receiving a handover success message from a destination node of a terminal performing a handover; a checking step of checking the handover failure rate of each physical cell identification information existing on a previously stored neighbor list based on the handover success message, and checking whether the handover failure rate exceeds a predetermined threshold value; an information receiving step of selecting information exceeding the threshold value as threshold value excess physical cell identification information based on the checking result, and receiving logic cell identification information from a terminal which newly performs a handover using the threshold value excess physical cell identification information; and a determining step of comparing the threshold value excess physical cell identification information and the logic cell identification information with the neighbor list, and determining whether a confusion phenomenon occurs in the physical cell identification information existing on the neighbor list based on the comparison result.</p> |
